There is some good news today -- Version 1.1 of PEMDAS has been released! Right now it's only available in the US store, but I'm working on bringing it to other stores soon.

The biggest new feature is probably support for binary, octal, and hexadecimal numbers, but there are a few other things that may be useful, an well as an updated icon and keypad interface. Feel free to send me any feedback you may have.

To see an overview of the Version 1.1, you can watch the screencast below:

I'm already working on Version 1.2, which I think may be the biggest update since 1.0. I also have something else in the works, which I hope to post more info about soon!

PEMDAS Touch Update
April 14, 2009

I'm sorry about this, but I have temporarily removed PEMDAS from the iTunes app store.

I'm hoping to have it back up in the coming months. For those that have purchased it, let me know if you experience any issues. Thanks.

Version 1.0 Released!
February 14, 2009

Although it has been a really long time coming, the port of the Dashboard widget and application over to the iPhone/iPod Touch has finally been released!

If you're wondering how to use the app, head over to the documentation section, or watch the scerencast below. If you're having problems or have a feature you want to see, visit the support page.

And if you have a computer with Mac OS X Leopard, be sure to check out the application version of the PEMDAS Touch app!

Finally, here are some other notes regarding the price of the app and what to expect when you buy it:

Pricing

This is the first time I won't be distributing an application for free, so I spent a bit of time thinking about how much it should cost. I've decided to put PEMDAS Touch in the $4.99 pricing tier.

Back in the spring of 2008 when I started development, I was planning on charging $9.99 for it. Although I still think this app is worth $9.99, I've reduced the cost to make it a little more affordable, especially since I expect a large percentage of users to be students.

Updates

I typically try not to say when I'll be releasing updates, but I'm hoping to have updates with new features every few months, and bugs will be fixed as fast as possible. All updates will be free for quite some time.

If you experience any issues with the app, please let me know.
