Status of the widget

So it's been more than a year since the last time I updated the widget... time flies. I've been working on an update for quite some time, but in the process I basically rewrote the entire widget. (Not to mention I wrote an app version of the widget.) But I'm hoping by rewriting the widget, it will make it far easier to update in the future.

I'm not sure when the update will be released -- hopefully in the March timeframe. Not to hype up the new version, but the current version is pretty terrible in comparison.

In the meantime, I would really like to have beta testers try out the new version. Please let me know if you are interested.

Version 1.2 Released

Apologies for the delay in getting this update out, I got Chinese Democracy syndrome (read more about it here).

I was hoping to add more, but I scaled the release way back to fix a couple bugs that really needed to be fixed. Following are the release notes:

• Fixed a bug where numbers -1 through 0 would be displayed as positive in regions that use a comma as a decimal separator.
• Fixed a bug where the update notification panel didn't work on systems running Leopard.
• Added a work-around for users with non-U.S. keyboards to type the ^ (exponent) symbol easier.

Let me know if you experience any problems.

Finally, I've decided to ship a public alpha of the Cocoa app calculator I've been working on. It's not quite ready yet, but check back in a week or two.
